The catalyst in PolarChem FBC lowers the temperature at which carbon (fuel) begins to combust (burn). This provides a longer time for the fuel to burn during the combustion cycle and converts more of the fuels’ energy into useful power. It also provides a much more complete combustion, reducing particulate (soot) and other emissions. The catalyst also lowers the temperature at which hard carbon (fuel deposits) begin to burn, allowing the deposits to burn at normal combustion temperatures found in the engine combustion chamber and in the catalytic Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). This allows your engine and emissions system to self-clean during normal operation. This self-cleaning reduces emissions, lowers fuel consumption, improves operating costs, and reduces maintenance required.
PolarChem FBC Diesel Fuel Treatment is the premier winter diesel additive for improving cold weather operability.
PolarChem FBC (Fuel-Borne Catalyst) Diesel Fuel Treatment provides a new and unique group of features and benefits in addition to those found in the original PolarChem product.
PolarChem FBC Diesel Fuel Treatment is based on the premier winter diesel additive for improving cold weather operability for diesel engines, together with the benefits of the FBC (Fuel Borne Catalyst).
With today’s high-tech, electronically controlled engines, the need for a high-quality fuel treatment that meets the engine manufacturers’ requirements is more important than ever before.
-Lowers CFPP and PP of diesel and biodiesel blends up to -30°F to -40°F
-Works across a broad spectrum of middle distillate (diesel, heating) and biodiesel blended fuels
-Chemically eliminates water
-Prevents icing of filters and fuel lines
-Disperses paraffin wax, prevents wax from agglomerating around wax seed crystals, and works to prevent wax drop-out during periods of extended, very cold temperatures
-Provides both external (injector tip and nozzle) and Internal Diesel Injector Deposit (IDID) fuel injector cleaning
-Lowers temperature at which the fuel begins to burn, providing for more complete combustion
-Allows even hard carbon deposits to burn
-Further reduces particulate formation
-Helps keep DPFs (Diesel Particulate Filters) cleaner longer
-Improves drivability
For best results, use every time you fuel, adding contents to fuel tank(s) prior to fueling. This will aid the mixing of the additive with the fuel.
For best cold weather results use 32 oz. for each 250 gallons of fuel (1:1,000 treatment ratio). For less severe temperatures, 1:1,500 may provide adequate protection. First-time users or in temperatures below 0°F, use 32 oz. for each 125 gallons (1:500) to improve fuel flow and speed the cleaning process.
When operating in extreme conditions (very cold weather) it is acceptable to use the 32 oz. per 125 gallons dosage on a regular basis.
Cold Weather Operability:
32 oz. per 375 US gallons (1:1,500 treatment ratio) will typically lower CFPP (Cold Filter Plug Point) and PP (Pour Point) by up to -10°F to -20°F.
32 oz. per 250 US gallons (1:1,000) will typically lower CFPP and PP by up to -30°F to -40°F.
32 oz. per 125 US gallons (1:500) can lower CFPP and PP by up to an additional -5°F to -10°F.
